Arabian Nights (US/UK, 2000)

The name of the dragons are unnamed

A mini-series consisting of five stories from One Thousand and One Nights: a collection of Middle Eastern folk tales compiled in Arabic during the Islamic Golden Age, but known in English as the Arabian Nights. Long ago, the Sultan Shahryar (Dougray Scott) has gone mad after his traumatizing near assassination, in which his wife collaborated and died at his hands as a result. Now he has a paranoid suspicion of women which he plans to express in a diabolical plan, and that is to marry a woman from the harem and then have her executed the next morning. To prevent this, the Grand Vizier's daughter and a childhood friend of the Sultan, Scheherezade (Mili Avital), offers herself to be that bride. Now, she must gamble that her plan will work as she tries to cure his madness by telling him story after wondrous story, which include the tales of Ali Baba (Rufus Sewell) and the Forty Thieves and Aladdin (Jason Scott Lee) and his Wonderful Lamp. All the while, the Sultan's villainous brother is making plans of his own and Scheherezade's stories are more useful against him than anyone can anticipate.

George and the Dragon (US, 2004)

Dragon Wars: D-War (South Korean, 2007)

In Pre-England Britain, before the birth of King Arthur, Merlin (Simon Lloyd Roberts) serves under King Vortigern (Hefin Wyn). Soon after Vortigern's coronation, fire-breathing dragons land in Britain, setting fire to buildings and eating its inhabitants. The dragons threaten the existence of Britain, and Vortigern instructs Merlin to lead an army against the dragons, ordering his best generals, Hengist (Iago McGuire) and Uther (Dylan Jones) to aid Merlin. Merlin plots to defeat the dragons and defeats them using magic/knowledge.


Fire and Ice: The Dragon Chronicles (Romania, 2008)

Wyvern (Canada/US, 2009)

Also known as Dragon. Floating toward Beaver Mills, Alaska, is a glacier - an icy tomb for a prehistoric winged creature.
